Wow,
Today I had to brave the elements to do a quick shop before I go to Istanbul. The Providence Place Mall had two full garages on a Wednesday! I had to park at least two blocks from the mall then schlep in the rain through the mall. As my primary goal was to purchase gifts for the in-laws it was no easy feat. I knew I needed to hit the sale at Bath and Body Works (yay for Sugar and Spice on sale 4 for 10). The bag was heavy. I went to early but as I passed by and women were tearing through the shelves I thought I might miss out; I surrendered. After a quick dip in the lotion pool I hearded with the crowd to J-Crew(shopped out) which had nothing on sale and nothing on the racks. Oddly the store was full of Asian shoppers which made me feel like I was in Shanghi department store(which was very refreshing). After J-Crew I made my way towards Bed Bath and Beyond(for a salad spinner...whoo hoot). That took forever as that place is always packed and always understaffed. After a tortuous wait while two lesbians stared at me like I was not domestic enough to be buying a salad spinner (which I am...its not for me though) in my stilettos and tight seven jeans, it was finally my turn. In and out(it was like good sex there was no in and out) it was slow and hot and I have to pay for it later. Then I went to Banana Republic where I spent twenty minutes contemplating a winter white cashmere sweater; and walked out after the line was errily long and again all asian! So I retreated to Nordstrom, no cheap RIslanders would dare go to the "Strom" looking for a deal. I went directly to the second floor to pick out some shirts for my "mil." I found two really cute empire waist silk shirts in the Symmantics label. Gorgeou! Only $95!!!!! After my purchases I went to Sephora for a little me time. In fact a bad gal lash mascara, hoola bronzer and Frederic Fekkai shamp and condi. YEE HHE! After I could not find the Smashbox illuminator I stomped back to my car and received a $25 tix for parking overtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hated today!
